Maintenance works have been completed on the overpass at the Tortona interchange of the A7, under the responsibility of Milano Serravalle – Milano Tangenziali S.p.A., designed by Milano Serravalle Engineering, which also managed site safety.
The works mainly involved the replacement of the bearing devices. After reinforcing the piers, the deck was lifted using hydraulic jacks placed on top of special temporary support structures, in order to relieve the existing bearings of the overhead loads and allow their safe replacement, without interrupting motorway traffic.
